Port Blair, Apr 09: In continuation of the seizures of illegal liquor and cash, a team of PS Hut Bay recovered 120 bottles of IMFL.
On receipt of information, team of PS Hut Bay headed by SI Vijay Prakash Mishra, SHO PS Hut Bay along with SI Subramani, HC M. Mohan, PCs A. Ali and PC S. Manoharan conducted raid at R.B. Nagar, Hut Bay and nabbed one person and recovered 113 Nos. 180 ml IMFL bottles and 07 Nos. 750ml IMFL from one Bapi Das S/o Late Amal Chandra Das (44)yrs. Pvt. Worker, R.B Nagar, Little Andaman. All the IMFL bottles were seized on the spot and the accused was arrested and a case under relevant section of excise regulation was registered in this PS.
The public is requested to share information about illegal brewing and sale of illicit liquor and narcotic drugs with Police so that such anti-social elements are brought to justice. Such information may be provided at 112, 100, 03192-232100 & 03192-232400 for swift action. The identity of the informer will be kept secret, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District said.
