Port Blair, Feb 27: ICDS Rangat organized Poshan Abhiyan and Pradhan Mantri Matritiya Vandhana Yojna program at in the remotest Village of Middle Andaman region at Hanspuri Grampanchayat to create awareness among the women specially the mothers.
The main objectives of the program were to bring awareness among the mothers about the Poshan, that which diets are needed for the mothers and their children. Means to know about and identify the foods which are nutrients food and whim should avoided for the better health of mothers and children.
More than 40 mothers from Hanspuri Panchayat very actively and and with keen interest participated in the Program. On the occasion District Project officer Miss Asha, Mukhiya Sevika Smti.Bipula Biswas, Mayabunder Block, Block project officers from Rangat & Mayabunder were present
Smti. Bipula Biswas, Mukhiya Sevika and District Project officer Miss. Asha very Categorically explained the importance of the Poshan Abhiyan and Matri Vandhana Yojna. The participant mothers expressed their gratitude to the ICDS Rangat for arranging such a vital program for them. They also thanked PM Narendra Modhi for introducing this great Yojna for mothers.
