RGT Public Vidyalaya Celebrates Annual Day

Port Blair, Apr 29: RGT Public Vidyalaya celebrated its 9th Annual day on 24th April 2019 in its school premises in a befitting way. Swami Shudhanandji Saraswathi, the Resident Acharya, Chinmaya mission Portblair was the chief guest on the occasion. Mr. Harinaryana Arora the veteran and social activist graced the evening as guest of honour while Smt. Durgawathi (Rtd Principal) was the special guest. The Programme was a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi the father of Nation on his 150th birth anniversary the students presented a spectacular performance in different forms of art such as action songs, folk dances of different states depicting the rich cultural heritage of our natoion, Patriotic dances and songs. The students also showcased their talents by playing melodious instrumental music. The most attractive items, very much applauded by the audience were yoga show and a skit based on the Swachch bharat and Swasth Bharat. Earlier the Principal of the school welcomed the gathering which was followed by the presentation of the annual report by the manager Mr. Joy Kumar Roy. The chief guest in his address to the students underlined the need of development of moral values among the children which he said can only be uncalculated by the parents at home and the teachers in the school. He appreciated the wonderful performance of the Kids and blessed them good luck for their future endeavour. He also gave away the prizes to the winners in the field of academic and co-academic achievements. The teachers were also felicitated on the occasion. The Programme concluded with the vote of thanks by the Head Mistress of the school. More than 100 students participated in the gala programme, Head Mistress, RGT Public Vidyalaya, said.
