Port Blair, Mar 20: The Office of the Returning Officer, A & N Islands Parliamentary Constituency (District Office, South Andaman) started receiving the nomination papers from the contesting candidates today.
The notification for election to the lone Parliamentary Constituency for UT was issued on March 18, 2019. Three sets of nomination paper were received from Mr. Sanjay Meshack of Aam Aadmi Party which was handed over to the Returning Officer, A & N Islands Parliamentary Constituency, Mr. Udit Prakash Rai at the Office of the Returning Officer (Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman) in person.
The candidature of Mr. Sanjay Meshack was proposed by 10 proposers in each. (IPT)
