Port Blair, Mar 24: The Rotary Club of Calcutta University and The Rotary Club of Port Blair together celebrated ‘The International Water Day ‘ on 22nd of March, 19 in Megapode Resort Port Blair.
It was an open forum program where visitors were allowed to ask any queries. The President of Rotary Club House Calcutta, Dr. Sailen Bhowmik was the person and dignitary who carried forward the program with other Rotarians who were the speakers too on various other topics, like uniqueness of Bio-Toilet, the waste from the toilet are digested in 24 hr. by the bio media resulting in neutral water and gas, Solar Energy, Women Empowerment, Water preservation, Water Crisis were covered by Mr. Pankaj Vaidya from Port Blair, Mr. Soumitra Chakraborty, Ashir Faizal, Sophia khan, Dr Snehesh.
The other renowned person from Port Blair, Mr. M. Jadwet and Mr. Dinesh from Port Blair Rotary Club also participated in the program. The program was anchored by Mrs. Kakoli Chakraborty from Port Blair.
