South Andaman Police Again Cracks Down On Drugs Peddler & Narcotics

Port Blair, Apr 04:  The teams of South Andaman Police has registered a case of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985 and arrested a person with nearly 900 gram of illicit Ganja.

On 04.04.2019, on receipt of credible information, a raiding team under the guidance of SHO Aberdeen, Insp. Sanjay Kumar, comprising SI P. Jeevan, HC Sunil Singh Yadav, PC Suresh, PC Vinod Liniya and PC Kumar Swamy conducted raid at Private bus stand, Aberdeen Bazar and recovered nearly 900 gram ganja from the possession of Shri Santosh Sarkar S/o Madhu Sarkar, 42yrs, R/o Phonix Bay.

The entire operations took place under the close supervision of SDPO (SA) Shri. Nishant Gupta under the overall supervision of Shri. Deepak Yadav, IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District. The public is requested to share information with Police in full confidence so that such anti-social elements are brought to justice and may pass such information to 112, 03192-232100, 03192-232400 and 9434288673. The identity of the informant will be kept secret.
