South Andaman Police Arrest one Person for Drug Peddling

Port Blair, July 04: South Andaman Police has registered a case of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985 and arrested one person and made recovery of 1.150 Kg of illicit Ganja.

On 03.07.2019, on receipt of credible information, a raiding team under the guidance of Insp. Arun Kumar Singh, SHO Pahargaon, comprising SI Surjit Bhattacharjee, ASI Sanjay Yadav, HC Benjamin Toppo, PCs Khokan Dutta, M Ashok Kumar, S. Nanak Singh, M. Raja Rao, Jayanta Kumar Biswas & Alka Kujur conducted raid near M/s Mustafa Store, Vivekananda Colony, Prothrapur and recovered 1.150 Kg of ganja from the possession of one person namely Nishant Sreeni S/o Shri N. Sreenivasan (35) R/o Garacharma.

The entire operations took place under the close supervision of SDPO (SA) Shri Nishant Gupta under the guidance of Shri. Deepak Yadav, IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
