Port Blair, Feb 19: On 15/02/2019 Police team of PS Chatham comprising of SI Deva Raju and PC/2836 M.RajaRao under the supervision of SI A.Usman, SHO PS Chatham conducted excise raid and nabbed two persons and recovered 20 Nos. 180ml IMFL and 03 Nos. 750 ml IMFL from one RamuKachap S/o Late SukhdevKachap (47)yrs R/o Mile TilakFerrargunj& 13 Nos. 180ml IMFL and 03 Nos. 750 ml IMFL from one B.Chanchaiah S/o Late B.Ramaiah (43)yrs R/o near Haddo. All the IMFL bottles were seized on the spot and both the accused persons were arrested under a case registered in this regard.
The entire operation has been carried out under the supervision of SHO Chatham SI A. Usman and the supervision of SDPO/South Andaman Mr. Nishant Gupta
The public is requested to share information about illegal brewing and sale of illicit liquor and narcotic drugs with Police so that such criminals are brought to justice. The identity of the informant will be kept secret, said Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
