Special programme for children by Perveen Charitable Trust

Port Blair, July 29: Perveen Charitable Trust is an organization established in the memory of Late. Perveen Mohammed, W/o Mr C. Mohammed for extending assistance to cancer patients and to support weaker section of the children –  Organized a function on 27-07-2019 at 3 PM in Markaz, Model village, Kanyapuram in association with Unnati and Markaz for assisting 40 children. Mr Vishal Jolly, President BJP was the Chief Guest on the occasion Mr Vishal Jolly was welcomed and presented a shawl by Janab Ibrahim Faizi, Markaz and bouquet were presented by Smti. Monika Belung, Co-ordinator, Unnati.

As per our Indian culture and practice at the outset, a special religious prayer was organized for peace, harmony and well being of the Islanders and also to have the blessing of God for strengthening Perveen Charitable Trust to enable them to serve people more and more by carrying out its welfare activities.

Mr Mohammed Rafique welcomed the chief guest and mentioned that the presence of Mr Vishal Jolly in the function is a great support and encouragement to the children and people of their locality. He also welcomed the office bearers of Perveen Charitable Trust for involving Markaz for identification of 40 children belonging to the weaker section of the community for awarding assistance.

Mr. C. Mohammed, President Perveen Charitable Trust narrated the activities of Perveen Charitable Trust and said so far the trust supported 7 cancer patients and assisted 103 children besides conducting various child-oriented programmes i.e. Personality Development programme, food processing training to inmates of Balika Niketan, Seva Niketan and Pranab Kanya Sangh, Origami by arranging renowned origamist from mainland and cancer awareness competition programme for students of 14 schools and also awarded prizes to them. During the current year under Perveen Charitable Trust’s child assistance programme, it is proposed to distribute dress etc to 250 children belonging to the weaker section of the community. 121 beneficiaries identified for distribution of dress from Pranab Kanya Sangh, Islamic centre, Balika Niketan and Seve Niketan. Chief guest after distribution of dress and other items to 40 children also addressed the audience and highly appreciated the good work being done by Perveen Charitable Trust. He said we should preserve our mini-India character of our Islands and not to be misguided by rumour and false propaganda. He further said that we should try to avail various benefits available from ongoing governmental programmes. He also mentioned that he feels happy to note that the president of Perveen Charitable Trust who is known for rendering his good service to the people while in service is continuing same even after his retirement. He further also pointed out that due to lack of awareness about various minority-related programmed the benefits under the programmes are not reaching to the targeted people. Therefore, Mr Vishal jolly also had a separate meeting with community leaders to discuss local problems i.e. problem relating to affiliation of public schools, construction of the road for connecting Model village to Andhabeda and streamlining sanction of loan to unemployed youths by all banks as emphasized under service area approach of Bank scheme and effective implementation of minority benefitting schemes. After detailed discussion, he assured to arrange holding meetings with concerned authorities and organizations for resolving the problems raised by them. Mr Mohammed Mustafa for Markaz was asked to co-ordinate and follow-up the matter and also keep in touch with him.Mr Hamza, Up-Pradhan and office bearer of Markaz while giving a vote of thanks specially thanked Mr Vishal Jolly for his support and assurance for problems related to their village and also for effective implementation of minority-related schemes.

He also thanked Perveen Charitable Trust office bearers for their active involvement in public welfare works and supporting children. He further thanked Smti. Jameela, Pradhan Kanyapuram, S/s Ibrahim Faizi, Mr K. Moosa, Khalid and all other office-bearers of Markaz and Unnati for their active participation and support.
