Port Blair, Dec 02: Saraswati Shishu Mandir School, Pathargudda, Port Blair organised the annual Sports Day on 30th Nov and 1st Dec for the Pre primary and Secondary Students respectively. The programme began with introducing the Chief Guest Smt. Anusia Devi Chairperson of PBMC and Guest of honour N K Udaya Kumar 24 no. Ward Councillor. It was followed by the lighting of the traditional lamp. Principal, Academic In charge and committee members presented shawl to the dignitaries. Troops presented the March past and the leader of the troops took the oath of the Annual Athletic Meet 2018-2019. The Chief Guest Smt. Anusia Devi opened the meet by hoisting the annual sports flag. In this way the students participated and enjoyed different athletic events. Students put up a Yoga, Dumbbells, fancy dress and Colourful Dance which carried an important message of sports. The Chief Guest and the guest of honour praised the performance of the students and appreciated the hard work of entire staff. Mr. R Mukesh Chandera, Branch Manager, Syndicate bank Garacharma was the chief guest of closing ceremony. He lowered the annual sports flag and concluded the ceremony by saying that the sporting events at the school level help a student to be physically and mentally fit. It also helps to develop professional sports persons.
