Port Blair, Apr 04: By winning 01 bronze and 02 silver medal in the Open International Canoe Sprint Championship, 2019, held at Bhopal (M.P) from 23.03.2019 to 25.03.2019, SI Ragina Kiro of Andaman & Nicobar Police has brought laurels and glory to these Islands. A total 16 countries participated in this championship.
SI Ragina Kiro performed outstandingly and won bronze medal in 500 metres kayaking (singles) event and 2 silver medals in 500 metres kayaking (doubles) event & 200 metres Kayaking (mix) event in the said championship.
The Director General of Police, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Dependra Pathak, IPS, congratulated her for her excellent performance. She has been rewarded with a cash prize and commendation certificate by the DGP, A&N Islands for bringing laurels and glory to Andaman & Nicobar Police as well as to Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Superintendent of Police (AP), Andaman & Nicobar Police said.
