SVC PBMC inaugurates online payment facility

Port Blair, Sept 11: In a simple function held in the conference hall of the Council Smti Vinitha Malhothra, Senior Vice Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council inaugurated online payment facility on 11th of September 2018 in presence of Mr. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Secretary PBMC for citizens of Port Blair for payment of property tax, water charges and conservancy charges. Councillors and senior officers of the Council were also present on the occasion. Port Blair municipal council in collaboration with national informatics centre, Lucknow has replicated the eNagarsewa application in Port Blair city. Now, citizens can pay water charges, property tax, market rent online without approaching to the PBMC counters. This project is the finest example of a success story of G2G collaboration. The eNagarsewa application will also be extended to every ward of Port Blair city through 19 common service centers by end of September 2018. Citizens will be able to pay the PBMC taxes/charges in CSCs also by end of this month.
For online payment please visit the state portal of Andaman and Nicobar Islands www.andaman.gov.in and look for the eNagarsewa services of PBMC tab. Link to eNagarsewa portal is also available at www.and.nic.in and www.pbmconline.org portal. Alternatively citizens can directly access the URL : e-nagarsewaup.gov.in/india/home.
Sr. Vice Chairperson also launched the website www.pbmconline.org of PBMC during the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion the Sr. Vice Chairperson exhorted that the Port Blair Municipal Council has an online facility where one can auto-generate the tax amount due of Water, Conservancy and property tax. Now, the general publics do not need to physically visit Municipal Council office or stand in a long queue to pay taxes. You can easily do so by visiting the above portal filling out the details, making the payment, collecting the online receipt and SMS will deliver in your Mobile. In these Islands it is first of its kind venture through which one can avail the facility of making online payment without visiting the respective office. SVC also appealed the general public to avail the facility extended by the Council.
Secretary, PBMC has also expressed gratitude towards NIC, Uttar Pradesh team especially Mr. Saurabh Gupta, SIO, NIC, Uttar Pradesh and Mr. Alok Tiwari, Senior Technical Director, NIC, Uttar Pradesh for taking up the project under G2G collaboration and replicating eNagarsewa solution in PBMC.
