Port Blair, Sept 27: Nehru Yuva Kendra, Diglipur organized Swachhata Awareness Evam Shramdaan programme at Panchayat Hall, Sitanagar in which 39 male and female participants participated from adjoining youth club and Mahila Mondals of Diglipur zone.
During the programme a rally was conducted from Panchayat Hall,Sitanagar to R.C.C bridge, Sitanagar and back and cleanliness was derived at Panchayat Shopping Complex, Sitanagar. Smti. Bulbul Mistry, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Sitanagar was the chief guest and flagged off the rally. She delivered speech on Swachhata Abhiyan. Mr. Sudharsan Das, Up-Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Sitanagar and Smti. Deepa, Panchayat Secretary, Sitanagar were also present as guest of honour and delivered a speech.
Mr. Jagjeevan Ram, Dist. Youth Coordinator welcomed all the resource persons and gathering and briefed about the importance of Swachhata in our life. The Programme was concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Smti. Nandita Halder, Ex-NSV, NYK, Diglipur.
