Port Blair, Apr 10: In view of the persistent demand, regarding availability of facilities of refreshments on board foreshore sector vessels, the Chief Secretary, A & N Administration has desired to examine the feasibility of providing some basic facilities on board foreshore sector speed vessels of this Directorate. “This has been examined by this Directorate, and accordingly to facilitate the passengers, a Tea / Coffee vending machine has been installed on board speed vessel MV Bambooka, which can be used by the travelling passenger on payment of Rs. 15/- for Tea and Rs. 20/- for Coffee, w.e.f 11.04.2019. The arrangement of tea / coffee vending machine on board MV Bambooka is however been arranged on trial basis and shall be extended gradually on board other foreshore sector vessels of this Directorate,” a release said here today.
