Port Blair, Mar 10: Simi Khurana Memorial open Table Tennis Tournament successfully concluded in YMCA hall on 09th March. The three days long league cum knockout tournament for Men’s and Women’s for the categories of U-18 and open to all was held under the banner of Andaman & Nicobar Islands Table Tennis Association (ANNITA) in collaboration with YMCA.
In the closing ceremony Vice President of ANITTA and Chairman of GENNEXT MOTORS Mr. Inderejeet Khurana was Chief Guest while Mr. Biju Jacob General Secretary of ANITTA and President YMCA was guest of honour. Prizes and Certificates were awarded in this ceremony.
The results of the tournament are as follows Winner and Runner- up of U-18 girls Singles category are Tripti Mondal and Sunita Mistry respectively both the girls are from Govt.SSS Garacharma . Winner and Runner- up of U-18 Boys Singles category are Mahindra Nath Naskar and Advani Michael respectively both the boys are also from Govt.SSS Garacharma.
While in the doubles event of U-18 winners of Girls and Boys category are Tripti Mondal & Suhani Nand and Advani Michael & Mahindra Nath Naskar respectively. Runner-ups of U-18 Girls and Boys are Sunita Mistry & Raohmita Sahu and B. Murugan & Tiloshwar Sahu respectively.
In open Singles category of Men’s and Women’s winner are Advani Michael and Tripti Mondal respectively. Runner-ups in the same category are P. Surya Kumar and Pratibha Mini respectively. Winners and Runner-up s of Men’s Doubles open category are Alok Bhor & Krantiveer and Advani Michael & Mahindra Nath Naskar.
