Port Blair, Jan 16: As part of social outreach towards senior citizens, Indian Coast Guard Wives Welfare Association (CGWWA) invited old age people from Ferrargunj Old Age Home to visit Coast Guard ships on 15 Jan 19. Total 17 people from Old Age Home visited Indian Coast Guard and were taken onboard ICGS Rajtarang for visit. They were welcomed by CGWWA (A & N Region) President Mrs Mohita Pathak along with other members of CGWWA. Inspector General MV Pathak Commander Coast Guard Region (A & N) was also present and interacted with them. As goodwill gesture CGWWA Port Blair presented few daily use items to the institute such as TV, Washing Machine, Water Purifier, Sewing machine, Glucometer, BP monitor, thermo flasks, Urine dispatch pots and Yoga mats. During the interaction, senior citizens shared their life experience with ladies.
Indian Coast Guard Wives Welfare Association (CGWWA), from time to time, interact with Old Age Home and Orphanages and provide a helping hand by donating their time and other essentials to such organizations, thus fulfilling responsibility of sharing joy with less privileged people.
