Port Blair, May 01: As a part of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat’ and Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration, DBRAIT has organized a competition among all the final year students of different departments. The students decorated their classrooms by giving them a typical ethnic look of a concerned State and the folk dance was performed in the class.
Altogether ten states viz Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Goa, Pondicherry, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh were covered. Around three hundred students (all final year) students participated in the competition.
Dr. Rasheeda Iqbal and Mrs. Rabia Begum from the Department of Art and Culture and the Department of Tourism were the judges of this event. The students were enthusiastic about the competition and did a substantial amount of work to give their respective classes a true picture of the states, they were assigned.
