Port Blair, Jun 21: The 08th International Yoga Day was observed by Gram Panchayat Hari Nagar on 21st June 2022 at Community Hall, Jaipur by the Department of Health under the supervision of Dr. Mini Medona, LMO and Dr. Suryakant Singh, Medical Officer, Ayurveda in the coordination of Gram Panchayat Hari Nagar and GSS School Swadesh Nagar.
Mr. ManojitHalder, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Hari Nagar was the Chief Guest at the programme. Mrs. ShibaniMazumder, Pramukh, Mayabunder, Mr. Shankar Mondal, Zilla Parishad Member and Mr. Dilip Das Panchayat Samiti Member were the guests of honor.
Before the yoga session, Dr. Suryakant Singh, Instructor highlighted the main benefits and proper ways of performing the yoga and asked the gathering to create awareness among the general public. Mr. ManojitHalder, Pradhan, GP Hari Nagar expressed his view on the importance of yoga.
As per the Ministry of AYUSH, GoI guidelines PRIs, Teachers, Students, Police staff, ASHA workers and the general public actively attended the yoga session in the morning.
A total of 63 participants attended the Yoga session. The function concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. B. Ajit Kumar, Chief Medical Officer, PHC Billiground.
