ABVP conducts mass student strike in front of DBRAIT

Port Blair, Jun 06: Students of DBRAIT once again gathered under the flag of ABVP to mark their protest against the DBRAIT College administration on 06th June 2022.

            ABVP conducted a mass student strike in front of Dr. B. R Ambedkar Institution of Technology (DBRAIT). The Strike was led by P. Sagar (President, ABVP DBRAIT Unit). Students of the college raised their demand in front of DBRAIT officials to fulfill all the conditions provided by Pondicherry University.

            As presently the DBRAIT College is failing to fulfill 17 conditions of PU. The major demand of the students highlighted are: 1) Conducting of Lateral Entry (LE) Examinations. As per norms of Pondicherry University and rules of the All India Council for technical education (AICTE); 2) Separate Diploma and Degree courses in different institutions from DBRAIT; 3) Initiation of the recruitment drive for the post of professors and associate professors immediately.

            The members of the State working committee were also present during the strike. Mr. Seema Kumari (Secretary, ABVP ANI) and Mr. U. ParthaSarathi (NEC member, ABVP) addressed the students during the strike speaking on the issue briefly. Mr. Siddhanth Rai Sharma (State Joint Secretary, ABVP ANI) in his address encouraged the students to fight for their rights without any Hesitation.

            On the behalf of ABVP, he also warned the DBRAIT College administration if the problems are not resolved, ABVP will continue the demonstration.
