Port Blair, Aug 09: In a major show of sectarian harmony and brotherhood, the Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee on Wednesday distributed refreshments among hundreds of Chota Nagpuri Adivasis during the mass procession organized by Ranchi Association on the occasion of International Day of World Indigenous People’s (Vishwa Adivasi Diwas).
The Congress Party installed a stall in front of Gandhi Bhawan, Port Blair, where the ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder and ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker along with several senior leaders of the Congress Party served refreshments including water and juice to the rally-goers while they passed from Gandhi Bhawan.
The Congress leaders also raised slogans such as “Jai Johar, Jai Adivasi” along with the Chota Nagpuri Adivasis, presenting a unified image of the Islands.
