Port Blair, Dec 06: The district police of North & Middle Andaman have been conducting intensive jungle search and combing operations to crackdown on manufacturing of illicit Liquor. Adding to the spree of crackdown on illicit liquor manufacturing in the district, Police team headed by SI SushantoDebnat, I/c OP Betapur and ASI Muchray Munda along with Police/IRBn officials conducted jungle search at Gobindapur and Prafullo Nagar area. During jungle search the team recovered bhatti articles in different locations and destroyed more than 800 litersofLahan and bhatti articles on the spot. The recovery has been done mainly from forest areas of Gobindopur and Prafullo Nagar area in PS Billiground.
Local residents have highly appreciated the proactive efforts of police. In this fight against illicit liquor, bootleggers & drug abuse the public is requested to share information pertaining to any crime /illegal activities to police over phone No.100, 112 & 03192-273344. The identity of the informers will be kept secret and will also be suitably rewarded.
