Port Blair, July 28: In recognition of outstanding performance of PC/2612 Nagveni of PS Hutbay in the 24th Senior SQAY Martial Art National Championship 2023-24 held at Kurukshetra, Haryana from 22nd to 25th June, 2023, DGP A&N Islands, Sh. Devesh Chandra Srivastva, IPS congratulated and awarded her with Commendation Certificate Class-I & Cash reward of Rs. 2500/-. She has brought laurels to A&N Police by winning 01 Gold Medal in Layaatmak SQAY, 02 Bronze Medals in Yudham and Kaushal. Mentionably, she also got certificate of registration of rank for Black Belt 3rd Degree in SQAY Martial Arts.
The Director General of Police also exhorted all police personnel and their supervisory officers to pay attention to their physical fitness and mental well being. He stressed upon the need for promotion of sports of various disciplines in A&N Police, so that they may participate at the regional/national level and bring laurels to A&N Police and Islands.
