Member of Parliament demands release of pension for old age, widow, specially-abled and destitute in the first week of every month

The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands to release pension for old age, widow, specially-abled and destitute in the first week of every month.
 
The Member of Parliament informed the Hon’ble Lt. Governor that  old age, widow, specially-abled and destitute people are not getting their pension on time, which has caused huge hardship to them.
 
He mentioned that most of the people under this category are completely dependent on the pension amount released by Administration for their monthly expenditures like food, medical expenses and room rents and delay in the release of the pension amount, brings huge problems for them.
 
He pointed out that if pension amounts are credited to their account, in the first week of every month, they will be in a better position to plan their expenditure and survive in society with full confidence and dignity.
