NCC Cadetsattends Interactiveprogrammeon‘Nasha Mukti Abhiyaan’

Port Blair, Sep 13: NCC cadets of Andaman and Nicobar Islands participated in an online interactive programme on Nasha Mukti Abhiyaan which was held under the aegis of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment on 13the September 2022 at JNRM Auditorium, Port Blair and witnessed active participation by cadets and unit staff.

            Lt Col Pankaj Modgil, Commanding Officer 1 (AN) Indep Inf Coy NCC addressed the cadets and stated that Drug Addiction is emerging to be a serious concern in the country, especially in the younger generation leading to dangerous consequences not just for the person using drugs, but on the family and society at large.

            He highlighted that drug abuse has resulted in an increase in the crime rate and had an overall detrimental impact on society. 120 NCC Cadets participated in the event with zeal and enthusiasm. They also took an oath of abstinence from drugs.
