Port Blair, Aug 18: The North & Middle Andaman Police Department is dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of the residents of the region while fostering a strong sense of community. Through initiatives like “Meri Maati Mera Desh,” the department aims to bridge the gap between law enforcement agencies and the public, creating a harmonious and empowered society.
Uniting the nation through the spirit of sacrifice. As part of the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” initiative, North & Middle Andaman Police organized a Badminton Tournament for boys and girls. Football match for school students of Diglipur zone as part of “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign. This event aims to strengthen the bond between law enforcement agencies and the local community while promoting physical activity and unity among the younger generation.
The three days Badminton tournament concluded successfully and the winners in women’s doubles & mixed doubles category wise have been bestowed by Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS, Superintendent of Police, North & Middle Andaman District at Vivekananda stadium on 18/08/2023.
In addition, today on 18/08/2023 a special football tournament was also concluded at Vivekananda Stadium, Diglipur, in which four Senior Secondary Schools of Diglipur Zone have participated in semi-finals & finals there on. The winning team has been awarded by Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS, Superintendent of Police, North & Middle Andaman District.
The “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign, which translates to “My Soil, My Country,” reflects the importance of patriotism and communal harmony. The North & Middle Andaman Police have long been committed to serving and protecting the community, and this event serves as a platform to further connect with the youth and residents.
