Port Blair, Aug 31: VHP to hold week long celebration as Raksha bandhan and Janmashtami to mark its foundation day “STHAPNA DIWAS” of VHP
On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Vishwa Hindu Parishad celebrated the utsav by banding Raksha Sutra and distributing sweets to different walks of the people throughout A&N Islands.
As part of the celebration VHP Karyakartas banded Raksha Sutra to all the Sanitary Workers (swachhata karmachari) of the municipal councils of portblair to recognize and appreciate their efforts in making the Island clean.
Similar Programs were also organized in the various places of Andaman Nicobar Islands by vishwa hindu Parishad Karyakartas. People were enthusiastic, interested and supportive too. All reacted positively and had built a kind of harmony to the society
