Port Blair, Nov 13: The Chairman of TSG Charitable Foundation Mr. TSG Bhasker inaugurated the “Birsa Munda Rolling Cup Hockey Tournament” in Velodrome Hockey Ground, Port Blair on Sunday with a puck drop ceremony to commemorate the birth anniversary celebration of Bagwan Birsa Munda on November 15th.
He was accompanied by the Councillor of Ward No. 14 Mr. Y. Joga Rao and Programme Coordinator of TSG Foundation Mr. Ameer Bux.
Mr. Bhasker interacted with the participants and advised them to play the game with sportsman spirit. He further wished best of luck to all the participating teams.
He appreciated the efforts of the Ranchi Association for organizing the tournament and expressed hope that this tournament would offer an opportunity to the players in exhibiting their talent and skills besides further promoting hockey in the Islands.
