ANTCC President Advocates for Improved Meal Service at GB Pant Hospital

Port Blair, May 10: In a concerted effort to address concerns over the nutritional adequacy of meals served to patients at GB Pant Hospital, the Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress President Mr. Rangalal Halder has submitted a formal request to the Secretary (Health) of the A & N Administration.

Highlighting the issue of limited variety and nutritional balance in patient meals, Mr. Halder underscored the critical importance of providing a well-rounded diet to support patient healing and well-being at GB Pant Hospital, particularly concerning the omission of vegetable items and the exclusive provision of only one item during afternoon hours.

Mr. Halder stated that, in prioritizing the nutritional needs of patients, it is essential to ensure that meals served are not only diverse but also to provide the necessary nutrients for recovery of the patients.

Recognizing the pivotal role of nutrition in patient care, Mr. Halder urged swift intervention to revise the meal service at GB Pant Hospital to significantly enhance the patient outcomes and satisfaction in the Medical Premises.
