Port Blair, Mar 15: On 13th March 2024, CRC A&N-Islands in collaboration with Pankh NGO celebrated International Women’s Day 2024 among Mothers of Special Children. The theme of the year is “Inspire Inclusion”. The motto of the event is to honor the mothers of special children for their dedication and hard work towards rearing a child with special needs.
The whole programme was sponsored by PANKH NGO, Port Blair. The Presidential Address was given by Mrs. Sumithamol, Director, CRC A&N-Islands. Mrs. Komal Anand, Founder & President, PANKH, NGO, Mrs. Swapna, Pricipal, MGIS, Mrs.Renu Pandey, Executive member, PANKH NGO and Swami. Sudhanandha, Chinmaya Mission were the special invitees for the programme.
All the special invitees addressed and honoured the hard work and dedication of the mothers of special children. The words “Women are special but the mothers of special children are boons to the world and most special in God’s creation” are pinned by all the speakers.
The mothers participated in Ramp Walk, Tug of war and Dumb charades etc., which attracted the eyes and hearts of the audience. A Total of 45 mothers participated along with their children.
Finally, they were distributed with Women’s Day Gifts and the programme ended with a Vote of thanks by Mr. Ashok.G, Vocational Trainer, CRC A&N-Islands.
