Port Blair, Jun 10: The police team of PS Humfrigunj consisting of SI Anik Das SHO PS Humfrigunj, ASI RC Singh, HC/Nelson, PC/Aurangzed Ahmed, PC/SabrajMohd and PC/NiteshBaidya went to North Wandoor sea shore area and inspected one suspicious dinghy breathing late night.
On inspecting the dinghy, they found 12 kgs approx. wild boar (Pig)meat loaded in 11 packets and approx 30 kgs of venison (Deer) packed in 25 packets.
Three offenders were apprehended at the spot namely Shyam Chand Mondal, S/o Mr. MukandaMondal (38yrs), fisherman, R/o North Wandoor; B Karthick, S/o Late P Thathiah(40yrs), fisherman, R/o Hasmatabad and Manoj Kujur, S/o Mr. Augustin Kujur (28yrs), fisherman, R/o Memyo, Ranchi Basti.
Later, all the seized properties were handed over to the forest officials of Loha Barrack Range for further action.
