3rd day of National Cooperative Week with the theme “Adoption and Upgradation of Technology for Digitalization of Cooperatives” celebrates at community hall Dairy Farm

Port Blair, Nov 16: The 3rd day of National Cooperative Week with the theme “Adoption and Upgradation of Technology for Digitalization of Cooperatives” was celebrated at the community hall Dairy Farm. The Chief Guest of the day was Mr. Y Joga Rao, PBMC Councillor Ward No 14 and inaugurated the programme. In his inaugural speech he emphasized on the improvement of cooperative societies. He also advised the gathering to take part in the cooperative movement for the betterment of the society by involving every member of the area. 

Mr. M Veeranna Director, ANSCU has briefed about the importance of digitalization in the present scenario. He cited few examples of Digitalization India in banking business, Govt schemes and payments through CSCs, work from home during distress period, online studies for students and business of amazon, etc. He further advised members of Cooperatives and SHGs to start their activities like accounting, bookkeeping in business through digitalization of the institutions. 

During the programme Dr. CH Hemanth Rao, Ex-Director CCS and Mr. Anant Rao, Vice Chairman ANSCU also spoke about the celebration of cooperative week and the role of cooperative in the societies. 

The programme was attended by a large gathering including Society members, SHGS, Villagers, officers of Coop Dept., ANSCB and ANSCU. 

Earlier Dr. Nagesh Ram Principal, RGCTC proposed the welcome address and the programme was concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Anant Rao, Vice Chairman ANSCU.
