Port Blair, Mar 28: Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands has wished the Islanders on the auspicious occasion of Holi. Holi again signifies the triumph of good over evil. The festival of colours is celebrated throughout India with much fanfare. People wait for holi and prepare to celebrate the festival for months.
Mr. Ajoy Bairagi appeals to the Islanders to celebrate the festival of Holi in their homes considering the COVID-19 pandemic which is again spreading rapidly in other parts of the country. Mr. Ajoy Bairagi appeals to everyone to wear face cover and maintain Social Distancing at all times.
He has asked everyone not to visit crowded places and follow all guidelines as announced by the Govt. Mr. Ajoy Bairagi further appeals to everyone to get themselves vaccinated against COVID-19 since Govt. of India has now allowed everyone over the age of 45 years to get vaccinated.
He further said that this year we may not be able to celebrate the festival of Holi like we did in the past but the good will always triumph and we will defeat the evil COVID-19 pandemic together to come out stronger and celebrate our festivals with much larger fanfare.
