A&N Police organizes Cyber Awareness programme for Students of MGIS, Brookshabad

Port Blair, Sep 08: Cybercrimes in today’s world are constantly evolving as technology advances and cybercriminals become more sophisticated. In today’s interconnected world, where the internet plays an integral role in our daily lives, the importance of cyber awareness cannot be overstated. Cyber threats continue to evolve, posing risks to personal information, financial security, and even national security. It’s crucial for students to be aware of the various types of cybercrimes to protect themselves online, and in an effort to promote digital safety and cybersecurity awareness, among students with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the digital world securely. The Cyber cell of A&N Police organized a Cyber Jaagrookta at Mahatma Gandhi International School, Brookshabad, Port Blair.

Some of the topics covered during the awareness class are: Online Privacy, Password Security, and Online Gambling, email frauds, Child pornography, Identity Theft, Fake Dating Apps, Fake Loan Apps, Social Media Safety, Identifying Phishing Scams, Safe Online Shopping, Digital Etiquette, Cyberbullying etc. Approximately 160 students participated and benefitted from the awareness class.
