Port Blair, Sep 08: A fancy dress competition was organized by Chinmaya Mission Port on the occasion of Mr. Krishna Janmashtami at Mission auditorium. Total 100 children participated in the competition, which was organized in two categories: Sub Junior (Nursery to UKG) and junior group (Class I & II).
Shivaansh Singh, Yashika and Pratigya Chand & Nitya Sree stood first, second and third respectively in the Sub Junior Group. While in Junior group first prize was given to S Vihaan. Benisha Sarkar & pair of Pratham & Tanshi won the second position while S Bhairav and Arshikaa Roy got the third prize. Mrs. Raj Mahajan noted social workers of the islands and Mrs. Komal Anand Member Child welfare committee of the Islands distributed the prizes along with three judges Samahita Acharya, Anita Mazumdar and Malti Halder. The resident Acharya of the Mission Swami Shuddhananda Saraswati spoke about the Mission’s activities and proposed the vote of thanks.
