A&N Police organizes free Health Camp police personnel and families

Port Blair, Sep 24: A Free Health Screening Camp was successfully organized by the Armed Police Unit, Andaman & Nicobar Police at Police Lines, Drill Hall, South Andaman on 23.09.2023, in association with MGM HealthCare, Chennai. This initiative reaffirms the unyielding commitment to the well-being and health of the community members and underscores dedication to nurturing a healthier society.

The Free Health Camp, tailored specifically for the benefit of Police personnel and their families, aimed to provide essential healthcare services and promote health awareness within the community. The event saw the active participation of around 500 Police personnel and their families, who had the unique opportunity to interact with healthcare experts and gain valuable insights into maintaining a healthy lifestyle

In collaboration with a team of experienced healthcare professionals, including Dr. Karunakaran S, Director and Senior Consultant in the Department of Spine Surgery, Dr. Vijaya Kumar Sohanlal, Senior Consultant in Orthopaedics, and Dr. Cherin Josi Champannoor, Consultant in the Department of Nephrology, they were able to offer comprehensive medical services to the participants. These dedicated healthcare experts generously volunteered their time and expertise to ensure the success of this event.

The A&N Police Department would like to express its heartfelt appreciation to all the healthcare professionals, volunteers, and sponsors who made this event possible. Their unwavering support mirrors shared commitment to community health and well-being.

This remarkable event was coordinated by Inspector Solomon Samuel, RI Police Lines, Ms. Yogita Sharma, DANIPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police (APU), and Dr. Ridhima Seth, DANIPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police (ACU), under the overall supervision of Mrs. Niharika Bhatt, IPS, Superintendent of Police (APU).

They remain steadfast in the commitment to promoting health and well-being within the community and look forward to future initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life for all.
