Beauty Parlour short course at Namunaghar Panchayat by National Cooperative Union of India

Port Blair, June 27: The National Cooperative Union of India, Cooperative Celebration Field Project (Member of Cooperatives) A&N Island Unit continuing its efforts to strengthen cooperative movement in this Island through organizing Seminars Work Shops Awareness Programme as well as organizing various skill development training programme to give opportunities for the rural people of the society to establish their own business venture. 

The National Cooperative Union of India A&N Island unit has organized an Inaugural Function for a 15 days long duration Beauty Parlour short course at Namunaghar Panchayat today. The training Course was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament A&N Island constituency as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma said that the platform of Self Help Groups is the best means of economic and social reform, members join together to achieve their similar goal. He said that through various skill development training programmes a large number of house wives living inthe adjacent area will get benefitted, with the skill they will be able to create income sources for the respective families as leisure time by obtaining bank loans. He emphasized the needs of people to take opportunities for social economic upliftment. 

Earlier Mr. Surendra Nath Singh, Project Officer, National Cooperative Union of India A&N Island Unit has welcomed the gathering and briefed about the importance of the training course. He said that Self Help Groups can play a vital role for the upliftment of women and weaker sections of the society. Dr. Nagesh Ram, Principal, Rajiv Gandhi Cooperative Training Centre, Teylerabad, in his address said that there are a number of skill development training programmes being organized by various development departments for the ultimate benefit of rural people. To grab the opportunity active participation and dedication towards the goal is required. Mr. Y. Vanketeshawar, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Namunaghar in his address expressed his happiness towards NCUI and Member of Parliament for taking initiative to organize such a type of meaningful training programme. Mr. Mohmed Saffique, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Mithakhari, Mr. Simson, Up-Pramukh Panchayat Samity, Ferrargunj and Mr. Kondaiya, Ex- Pradhan, Namunaghar also delivered their speeches on the occasion 30 members of SHGs are participating in the training course.
