Port Blair, Sep 11: On 10th September 2023, The Composite Regional Centre- A&N Islands, under the Administrative Control of NIEPMD Chennai, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment organized an awareness programme on World Physiotherapy Day at the Conference Hall of CRC- A&N Islands.
World Physical Therapy Day or World Physiotherapy Day 2023 is celebrated on September 8 every year. It recognizes and celebrates the significant contributions of physical therapy and physiotherapists in promoting health and well-being.
All the parents and the patron care are invited for the awareness programme. The programme was started by welcoming the gathering by the Resident Nodal Office and Assistant Professor Special Education Mrs. Sumitha Mol.
Mr. TY Abid, Lecturer Physiotherapy from CRC- A&N Islands demonstrates different techniques of exercise & train the parents of children with Development Delay.
Ms. G. Kokila, Vocational-cum-Special Educator from CRC-A&N Islands explains the varied procedure of speech development and Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills. Mr. Himadri Sekhar Debsharma, Consultant P&O concluded the sessions of awareness programme by giving heartfelt thanks to all the participants, parents, children & the professions and faculty members of CRC A&N Islands. Altogether 45 members participate in the training programme.
