Major Drug Bust in Port Blair: Two Arrested and Large Quantity of Ganja Seized

Port Blair, Aug 03: On 02/08/2023, in a joint operation conducted by the Narcotic Cell and PS Central Crime Station, CID Unit, a significant breakthrough was achieved with the arrest of two individuals involved in illegal drug activities. The accused have been identified as Rohit Lall (27 years old) and Shankar Mohan (32 years old), residents of Prothrapur near Shiv Temple and Bathubasti near Galaxy Hotel, Port Blair, respectively.

During the operation, the team successfully recovered substantial quantities of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. The seizure included two cannabis plants, one measuring 5 feet 02 inches and the other 08 inches in length, weighing a total of 76 grams. Additionally, 30 grams of Ganja, 01 Hookah, 01 weighing machine, and 01 scissor were confiscated from the possession of the accused. 

Rohit Lall and Shankar Mohan were arrested for their involvement in the cultivation and distribution of illicit substances. 

The arrested individuals will be produced before the court, and further investigations are underway to ascertain the full extent of their involvement and connections in the drug trade.
