Port Blair, Aug 03: ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker on Thursday paid a visit to the Arulmigu Shree Karruppanaswamy Temple, Shadipur and sought divine blessings on the auspicious occasion of “Aadi Perukku”.
Mr. Bhasker was honored by the members of the Temple Committee upon his arrival. He also interacted with the devotees and members of the temple committee.
A large number of people from the Tamil Community took part in the ceremony to offer prayers and thank god for the blessings.
Aadi Perukku is a unique monsoon festival of Tamil Nadu celebrated on the 18th day of the Tamil month of Aadi. The festival welcomes the new water from monsoon rains in rivers. It is celebrated to show gratitude to nature and to thank Mother Cauvery River.
