Port Blair, May 30: FIDE (International Chess Federation) announced the World Online Youth & Cadet Chess Championship in the month of August 2021 and the last date of entry set as 10 July 2021.
Considering the same, All India Chess Federation is organising the National Online Age Group Chess Championship 2021 with the following tentative schedule.
Under-18 Open & Girls : 10-12 June 2021
Under-16 Open & Girls : 13-15 June 2021
Under-14 Open : 16-18 June 2021
Under-14 Girls : 19-21 June 2021
Under-12 Open : 22-24 June 2021
Under-12 Girls 7 June 2021
Under-10 Open : 28 -30 June 2021
Under-10 Girls : 01 -03 Jul 2021
The Tournament shall be played under video supervision by using Zoom as Video Conferencing System (VCS) during the tournament. Players should log into Zoom with real names. Players must share their screen and not just the browser.
Only laptop or desktop computer (Only Windows OS will be allowed) are only allowed as playing device. (Mobile phones and tabs are strictly not allowed.)
Internet connectivity is the player’s responsibility. Please ensure you have a reliable connection which you trust. A functioning webcam is mandatory so that arbiters can comfortably see you and your surroundings. Players must be able to scan their playing area using their webcam.
The Championship will be played under Fide Online Chess Regulation and the Swiss system. Total eleven rounds shall be played.
Every state will be allowed two Ordinary Entries and any number of Special entries for the championship in each category.
