Port Blair, June 11: The President of Daily Newspaper Association, A & N Islands, Mr. K Ganeshan has requested the Secretary of IP&T to provide details of Daily Test Conducted (both RTPCR and RAT) and Number of COVID-19 cases in other Islands on daily basis to media. In a letter addressed to the Secretary of IP&T, Mr. K Ganeshan mentioned that these two crucial data are not being shared with media and general public are continuously demanding for such data on a regular basis. “I am sure if this data is shared with the media, things will become clearer for public and rumor mongers, will not get space to spread fake news in society,” Mr. Ganeshan added. Lauding the IP&T he wrote that the IP&T Department has very professionally handled public relations and media communications during the ongoing second wave under the dynamic leadership of Mr. S K Singh, Secretary IP&T.
