Port Blair, Mar 12: The State Level Technical Committee Meeting (SLTC) review meeting for fixation of scale of finance of various seasonal crops, vegetables, floriculture, fruits, spices, honeybee rearing and fixation of scale of finance to KCC- Fishermen including finance to KCC- Animal Husbandry for the year 2024-25 was held on 12th March 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Chamber of Director of Agriculture A & N Islands under Chairmanship of Mr. Vikram Singh, DANICS, Director of Agriculture, Port Blair, A & N Administration.
At the outset Mr. Omkar Nath, Sr. Manager (Dev.), A & N StCB Ltd., Port Blair, welcomed Mr. Vikram Singh, DANICS, Chairman, SLTC, Mr. Rahul Damani, Deputy General Manager, NABARD, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh, HOD (Horticulture) CARI, Dr. Avinash Neeraj, SVO Port Blair , Mr. Ummer Farooq, Lead District Manager, SBI, Port Blair, Mr. Gandhi Paroi, Mr. Amal Samaddar and Mr. Bimal Ch. Gain, Farmers representative from Ferrargunj, Diglipur and Nimbudera and Mrs. Jolly James, General Manager, Member Secretary (i/c), SLTC and NABARD officials.
Mr. Omkar Nath, Sr. Manager (Dev.) highlighted the objective of calling this meeting for review the unit cost of previous scale of finance for the year 2023-24 for fixation of the unit cost of scale of finance for existing and new scale of finance for the year 2024-25 for implementation of KCC- Crop, KCC-Animal Husbandry and KCC- Fishermen.
Thereafter, the Chairman Mr. Vikram Singh, DANICS and other members of SLTC took up the meeting agenda wise and gave their valuable suggestions for more lending and better achievement in Agriculture Sector specially coverage of Kisan Credit Card (KCC) including KCC-Animal Husbandry & KCC-Fishermen to all farmers of A & N Islands, after reviewed the scale of financed has been approved for the year 2024-25.
All the farmers and general public are hereby by informed that the scale of finance for 2024-25 will be available with the branches of A & N State Cooperative Bank Ltd., Agriculture Dept., AH & VS Dept, Fisheries Dept., and all Financing Institute of A & N Islands with effect from 01st April 2024, a communication received from the Member Secretary, State Level Technical Committee.
