Women’s Day Program Celebrates by A&N Islands Bhojpuri Samaaj on 10th March

 Port Blair, Mar 12: Andaman Nicobar Islands, Bhojpuri Samaaj Commemorates International Women’s Day with Cleanliness Campaign and Cultural Program at Kodiaghat Sea Beach

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Andaman Nicobar Islands Bhojpuri Samaaj organized a series of events to celebrate the empowerment and achievements of women. The highlight of the day was a cleanliness campaign conducted on Kodiaghat sea beach on March 10, 2024, to promote environmental awareness and community involvement.

Following the clean-up drive, a program of games and cultural activities was also held for women and children, providing an opportunity for them to showcase their talents and creativity. As a gesture of appreciation, the participants were awarded on the beach, recognizing their efforts in contributing to a cleaner and greener environment.

To add to the festive spirit, a Phag singing program was organized in anticipation of the upcoming Holi festival. The esteemed guest, Mr. Rakesh Kumar Singh, took this opportunity to honor Ms. Avantika Singh, a young girl known for her strong advocacy for women empowerment and gender equality.

President of the Bhojpuri Samaj, Mr. Rampyre Yadav, lauded the efforts of the women executive members specially Mrs. Indira Pandey, Vice President, and Mrs. Purnita Devi, Joint Secretary, for their leadership and dedication in connecting the Women’s Day program with the Swatch Sagar mission.

The event was a testament to the unwavering commitment of the Andaman Nicobar Islands Bhojpuri Samaaj towards practice and involvement from people of our Samaj for environmental awareness and women’s empowerment.
