Directorate of Social Welfare Recognizes Winners of Swachata Abhiyaan Drawing Competition

Inside..Port Blair, Mar 12: State Child Protection Society (SCPS) under the Directorate of Social Welfare organized a memorable prize distribution ceremony to applaud the creativity and dedication of the young participants of the Swachata Abhiyaan Drawing Competition. The event took place in the chamber of the Director of Social Welfare, celebrating the impressive artwork and commitment of the contestants in promoting cleanliness and hygiene.

The program commenced with a warm welcome speech by the Programme Manager (SCPS), who extended heartfelt greetings to the winners from each category and their proud parents, acknowledging their valuable presence and support.

The talented contestants were classified into three different age categories – 8 to 9 years, 10 to 13 years, and 14 to 17 years, each showcasing their unique perspectives and imaginative skills in relation to the Swachata Abhiyaan.

During the ceremony, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and consolation Prize winners from each age category were honored by the esteemed presence of the Director of Social Welfare. Joining in the recognition were the Women Welfare Officer and Probation Officer (JH), who added to the significance of the event with their gracious presence.

Dr. Nitin Shakya, Director (Social Welfare), congratulated all the winners and shed light on the profound significance of initiatives like the Swachata Abhiyaan in our society. His words echoed the importance of promoting cleanliness and instilling a sense of responsibility towards maintaining a healthy environment.
