Port Blair, Aug 17: Keeping in view the present pandemic of Covid-19, the last date for online submission of application forms for admission to various courses in Tagore Government College of Education, Port Blair has been extended up to 31st August 2020 to enable all the aspiring candidates of these islands to apply for admission to these courses in the College.
Aspiring candidates can submit their application forms through online by accessing http://collegeadmission.andaman.gov.in. The courses offered by the College B.Sc.B.Ed. Mathematics and B.A.B.Ed. English, Hindi and History during the academic session 2020-21 under revised NCTE Regulation 2014.
Four Years Integrated Courses in Education is a dual degree programme designed as integrated programmes of Teacher Education aimed to prepare competent teachers for school education. Candidates seeking admission to these courses must have passed 10+2 examinations of a recognized Board in the concerned subject. It is of four-year duration organized on the semester pattern with two semesters in each year with total eight semesters.
The course of study includes general education consisting of language (Hindi and English) and specialized subjects. The professional part of the course consists of studies in the foundations, general and special methodology and a comprehensive internship programme in the field. It is a course of highly specialized nature in Teacher Education where a student is given specialized training to become a teacher soon after he completes schooling along with academic subjects.
