Port Blair, Sep 03: To mark the National Sports Day the Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma organized ‘MP Cup’ Football Tournaments at Bathubasti, Mithakhari, Bambooflat, Mannarghat, JNRM, Humphregunj and Ferrargunj regions.
The Tournaments received tremendous response from youths and public of these areas and altogether nearly 1300 youths participated in the football matches while thousands of people enthusiastically gathered to watch these matches.
Youths of all these locations expressed their gratitude to the Member of Parliament for organizing such a Tournament and giving them a platform to showcase their sports talent.
The Member of Parliament was present to witness Finals of all the Tournaments and after matches he distributed Trophies and medals to the winners.
As per details at Bhatubasti ‘MP Cup’ Knockout Football Tournament the winner was Ferrargunj -9 while Runner’s Up was Spark – 11 Birdline.
At Mithakhari ‘MP Cup’ Knockout Football Tournament the winner was Habdipur Team while Runner’s Up was Namunaghar.
At Bambooflat ‘MP Cup’ Knockout Football Tournament the winner was Stewartgunj Team while Runner’s Up was Bambooflat.
At Mannarghat ‘MP Cup’ Knockout Football Tournament the winner was Mannarghat Team while Runner’s Up was Royal Sporting Club.
At JNRM ‘MP Cup’ Knockout Football Tournament the winner was KDR Bulls Team while Runner’s Up was United Sporting Club.
At Humphregunj ‘MP Cup’ Knockout Football Tournament the winner was Wandoor Team while Runner’s Up was Manglutan.
At Ferrargunj ‘MP Cup’ Knockout Football Tournament the winner was Caddlegunj PYC Team while Runner’s Up was GT Boys Mathura.
