Port Blair, July 15: A Delegation of Aato led by its President Mr. M.Vinod met Mr. Tarun Coomar, PCCF at his office and discussed the issue of closure of Elephant Beach, Havelock. The PCCF was kind enough to listen to the Delegation and spoke to DFO, Havelok and it was made clear by the Forest Department that Elephant Beach was not closed by Forest Department and the same was closed by Port Management Board citing weather conditions. PCCF heard all other issues raised by the delegation of Aato and assured to look into the matter at the earliest.
The Delegation of Aato will now take up the matter of closure of Elephant Beach with concerned authorities and request to open the beach for tourists immediately. Aato Delegation consisted of Mr. K.Hamza, Mr. Krishna Saha and Mr. Vivek Singh.
