Coast Guard Conducts Special Medical Camp for Women at Joginder Nagar, Campbell Bay

Campbell Bay, Jan 03: The Indian Coast Guard frontline district HQ no. 10, Campbell Bay, in coordination with primary health centre (PHC) organised a special free medical camp for ladies at Joginder Nagar, Campbell Bay on 03 Jan 19 with the objective to enhance the awareness among ladies in regard to women health & their hygiene facilities. The camp was inaugurated by Mrs. Hemali Kushwaha, President Tatrakshika, Campbell Bay in presence of Smt. Manjula, Samiti Gram Panchayat & medical staff of PHC. The camp started with filming of 02 films emphasising salient features of how to improve women hygiene & anaemia by following simple steps. This was followed by medical check-ups including basic blood investigation like haemoglobin & blood sugar. Especially the presence of 02 lady officers of this headquarters encouraged the young girls to whole-heartedly participate & get benefitted from the special camp. Approximately 80 local women/girls attended the camp. Free medicines were also provided to patients during the camp. The locals of the area lauded the efforts & expressed their desire for continuation of similar drives.
