Port Blair, May 02: In an attempt to provide a platform to the budding artist of the Islands, “Art camp and Cartoon Workshop” was organized by the Kala Kendra Society under the Department of Art & Culture in collaboration with South Zone Cultural Centre, Thanjavur from 24th May- 1st June 2019 at Andaman Club. The budding artists have drawn a number of art work and cartoons during the workshop under the guidance of eminent artist prof N. Gnanasekaran, Cartoonist and Mr. Meenakshinatha Pillai, Coordinator from South Zone Cultural Centre, Thanjavur. During the workshop prof N. Gnanasekaran, took general introductory workshops focusing on special techniques and creativity in cartoon drawing.
As part of its concluding session, Kala Kendra Society is showcasing the art work of participants in an Exhibition titled “Creative Spark” at Art Gallery & Studio, located at Gandhi Park. The exhibition was remained opened for the public at Art Gallery & Studio, Gandhi Park on 2nd June 2019 from 10.30 AM to 7PM.
