Port Blair, Apr 09: Continuing to ensure free and fair election, again the Central Crime Station (CCS) and Special Branch CID are working vigorously to enforce the Model Code of Conduct. Such efforts of PS CCS and SB(CID) are coming out with positive results in terms of restraining illegal liquor. On 07th & 08th April, police raiding team comprising of ASI Jayachandran, police constables Surfudeen, Nasir Alam, Hamza of SB(CID) headed by Inspr. D. Jagdishwar Rao and SI Mohammed Elias, police constable Chandran, N. Thanga Raj, and K Rajendran of PS CCS guided by Inspr. Mahesh Yadav, SHO, Central Crime Station, under the supervision of Sh. George Lalu, Dy.SP(CID) has raided various places subsequently succeeded in apprehending 02 person namely M. Murgeshan R/o. dairy farm and R. Kannan R/o. Near Fisheries Jetty Port Blair and total of 101 Liquor bottles of different varieties were recovered from their possession. All the recovered liquor bottles were seized on the spot and accused were booked under relevant section of law. The entire operation was conducted under the overall supervision of Sh.Manoj.C, IPS, SP(CID).
